Program Overview
What is American Eagle Hong Kong membership program?
The American Eagle Hong Kong membership program (the "Program") is American Eagle Outfitters Hong Kong Limited's (the "Company") rewards program. Members earn points on purchases (after discounts) made at the American Eagle Outfitters Hong Kong stores, good for use at American Eagle Outfitters Hong Kong stores only. Additional benefits include an exclusive welcome offer, birthday offer, and other member-only sales and events.
How can I join the American Eagle Hong Kong membership program?
Membership is free! You can join by asking a store associate to sign you up upon any purchase. You must be at least 18 years of age. A valid mobile phone number is required together with some of your personal information to enrol.
How do I update my American Eagle Hong Kong membership account profile or check my point summary?
You can update your American Eagle Hong Kong membership account profile by asking a store associate or email to cel@pacifica.com.hk. For point summary, you can check with our store associates or subscribe to our Whatsapp business account track your points balance easily and receive latest offer updates from us.
How do I cancel my American Eagle Hong Kong membership?
American Eagle Hong Kong membership can be cancelled at any time by asking a store associate or email to cel@pacifica.com.hk.
I cancelled my American Eagle Hong Kong membership previously, but now want to re-join. What should I do?
Welcome back! It's easy to sign up again at store by simply re-enrolling in the American Eagle Hong Kong membership. You can re-enrol with your phone number. When you re-join, you will start to earn points and receive program benefits again. Note that any points you had in a prior closed account will not be transferred to the new re-opened account.
Points Earning
How do I get points for my purchases?
Points are earned for qualifying purchases made at all American Eagle Outfitters Hong Kong stores only. Online orders are not eligible to the program.
How many points do I earn with the program?
As an American Eagle Hong Kong membership member, you earn points for every qualifying HK$1 spent, rounded down to the nearest dollar. Members can earn 1 point per HK$1.
What's a qualifying purchase for earning points?
When purchasing in-store, the qualifying amount for earning points is the transaction subtotal for merchandise, after any discounts or rewards have been applied.
Do I earn points for my online purchases?
Currently online purchases are not eligible to the Program.
How do I report missing points/purchases if I forget to give my membership information?
If you are already a member, you can request points for a missing purchase by emailing cel@pacifica.com.hk. In order to request missing points, you must have your in-store receipt within 30 days of the original purchase date. Please note that no points would be added for any transactions made before membership registration.
I made a purchase, but my points are not in my account. Where are they?
Points are usually posted to your account very soon after your purchase. You should see your points within 24 hours after your purchase in our Whatsapp business account.
What happens if I make a return?
The points you earned from that purchase will be deducted from your American Eagle Hong Kong membership program account. You cannot return an item if your points balance falls below zero, please ensure your points balance is positive after return. For transactions with any loyalty benefits used, no refund would be accepted, customers can choose to exchange products at our stores only.
What other benefits do I get in American Eagle Hong Kong membership program?

American Eagle Hong Kong membership program (the "Program") is American Eagle Outfitters Hong Kong Limited ("AEO HK", "We" or the "Company") new rewards program in which members earn points on purchases (after discounts) made at the American Eagle Outfitters Hong Kong retail stores, online orders are not eligible to the program.
General
The membership is open to customers at our stores in Hong Kong who as of the date of their membership, are at least 18 years of age. By joining the Program and becoming a member, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age, that you understand you can earn benefits as a member of the program and that you have read and agreed to these program Terms and Conditions, Privacy Notice and Return Policy (collectively, "Terms") as outlined and the Program constitutes valid consideration and to the extent prohibited by law.
You are responsible for checking for updates to these Terms. These Terms may be amended from time to time, by AEO HK at its sole discretion, and will supersede all previous versions of these Terms. These Terms will be posted on https://aeo.com.hk/en-hk/store-membership/terms-conditions.
These Terms apply to your membership and participation in the program, which is operated by AEO HK and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliated companies, and third-party service providers (collectively, "Administrators"). Points and rewards have no cash value or other monetary value.
The Program and its benefits are offered at the sole discretion of Administrators. Administrators reserve the right at any time without notice, including retroactively, to expand, alter, terminate, modify, limit, continue or discontinue the Program or merge the Program, or any part of the Program, into another rewards program at a later date. In the event that the Program is discontinued or merged into another rewards program before you have accumulated enough points or to earn a Reward, AEO HK may determine in its sole discretion at any time that you cannot redeem points or outstanding Rewards or participate in any new program. Similarly, at any time and as determined by AEO HK (in its sole discretion at any time), you will not be entitled to any compensation (in any form whatsoever) for any unused points and the points may have a lesser or different value under any new program.
In order to enroll into the program, you have to provide your name and a unique mobile phone number that you have the right to use. Only one phone number/account may be associated with a single membership account. You may have only one active program membership account. There is no fee to join the program, a purchase is required at the time of registration to become a member. By providing your information, you consent to Administrators collecting, using and sharing your information in accordance with AEO HK's Privacy Notice; your information will be used to tailor content to you and your interests.
Employee Participation
Employees, officers, and directors of Administrators (collectively the "associates") are not eligible to participate in the Program.
Account Limitations
Limitations also help AEO HK collect information necessary for keeping your program membership open. These include but not limited to reviewing, freezing, suspending, deactivating or terminating an account(s) are implemented to help protect AEO HK, its customers, and its program members when AEO HK notices activities that appear as unusual, suspicious, or fraudulent.
Please keep in mind that if AEO HK notices, or otherwise suspects or is informed of any potential unusual, suspicious, or fraudulent activity is occurring with regard to or related to your account, AEO HK reserves the right in its sole discretion to apply limitations (including but not limited to reviewing, freezing, suspending, deactivating, and/or terminating your account), with or without notice to you. All decisions made pursuant to this section are at AEO HK's sole and final discretion.
Earning Points
Overview
Points will be earned for qualifying purchases made at any AEO HK retail stores. No points will be earned for purchases made online at https://aeo.com.hk/. The qualifying amount ("net qualifying purchase") for earning points is the in-store transaction total for qualifying merchandise. Points will be applied to the membership account that is provided for each transaction at checkout. Points are calculated for your order after any and all discounts and/or rewards have been applied.
Points Benefits
As a program member, you earn 1 point for every qualifying HK$1 spent, rounded down to the nearest dollar.
Returns and Exchanges
When a member returns merchandise or exchanges for items of lesser items those returned items will also see a deduction of the point balance earned on that purchase. Points, credits, benefits earned on any exchange or return will be deducted from your membership account in the case of a return or exchange. You cannot return a purchase if your points balance falls below zero, please ensure your points balance is positive after return. For transactions with any loyalty benefits used, no refund would be accepted, customers can choose to exchange products at our stores only. Missing Transactions
If you are already a member, you can request points for a missing purchase by emailing cel@pacifica.com.hk. Rewards
Overview
Rewards are for discounts off future eligible purchases at our stores in Hong Kong (unless otherwise specified) (each a "Reward", collectively "Rewards"). Rewards may contain terms and conditions that must be completed prior to use or contain other limitations that will be applied during use.
Rewards are automatically generated. There is a no waiting period on points after purchases are made, before they become eligible for points redemption. Return of merchandise cannot be made if rewards were issued previously and return of merchandise results in a negative points balance. For transactions with any loyalty benefits used, no refund would be accepted, customers can choose to exchange products at our stores only.
Rewards may not be given, transferred or sold. You may be asked to present proof of identification/ membership to redeem your reward. Unless otherwise indicated on the Reward, Rewards will expire every year from your membership start day.
Dollar Off Reward
You may use your Dollar Off Reward for regular, marked down or clearance merchandise (unless otherwise specified as part of a promotion or offer). Rewards will be subject to terms and conditions outlined on the Reward as well as Program terms and conditions. If you want to use your reward, please ensure the net purchase amount is higher than the reward amount in order for the transaction to proceed. Other exclusions and restrictions may apply.
You must provide a current, unique to the program, mobile phone number that you have authority to use to be a member in the program and receive program benefits. You could receive some Rewards and program benefits via email, text, the website and/or AEO HK Whatsapp business account, so to get the most of the program, it is recommended that members opt in to all communication channels. You are responsible for ensuring that your email, mobile number stay updated, opted-in, and deliverable.
Redeeming Rewards
Please note, as the member earning rewards, only you may redeem or use your rewards. These rewards are intended for only you. Additionally, for security and fraud purposes, you may be asked to present proof of identification/ membership to redeem your reward. All rewards cannot be used together with other rewards unless specified otherwise.
Member Communications
Administrators reserve the right to communicate and make promotional offers and benefits selectively available to members, based on purchase activity, Program participation or other factors. By providing your contact information, you agree to receive marketing communications, including offers, benefits and promotional messages related to your membership, from the program. You agree that the messages may be sent to you in various forms such as via email, telephone calls and customised SMS/text message and other rules may apply. You may unsubscribe from/opt out of receiving marketing and promotional communications at any time by contacting our store associates or emailing cel@pacifica.com.hk.
Membership Cancellation
You may cancel your membership in the Program and opt-out of future communications by contacting our store associates or email us at cel@pacifica.com.hk. When you cancel your membership, you will forfeit all program benefits including existing/pending points and rewards.
Fraud
The Program may not be used for reselling or profit. AEO HK will investigate any suspected violation of this provision, which may result in immediate termination of the Program account and/or forfeiture of corresponding points, benefits, and Rewards. AEO HK reserves the right to void Program points and benefits from the accounts of members associated with anyone who has engaged in deception, forgery, infringement, fraud (including, without limitation, fraudulent use of the 'Missing Points' feature or any type of earning for purchases not made by the member), or other abuses of the Program. Only one person submitting or transacting per household per single account, or instances of AEO HK individuals that program members with their rights. Any corporations, groups, associations or commercial customers and associates purchasing items for resale are not eligible for membership in the program. AEO HK may terminate any account that it determines in its sole discretion of a corporation, group, association, commercial customer, or other entity purchasing items for resale. Multiple accounts corresponding to the same person will be subject to termination without notice. There may be only one account per person. If you have more than one account, AEO HK may terminate all accounts. If an account is terminated, all existing points, benefits and Rewards will be forfeited. Administrators reserve the right to deny or terminate membership if we deem your conduct to violate these Terms, program rules or general conditions.
Privacy Notice and Direct Marketing
To administer the Program, you agree that we may collect and process identifiers (such as your name, email address and telephone number), personal information and information about your commercial transaction information (your purchase history and Program points, benefits and Rewards) as detailed in the Privacy Notice.
WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: THE PROGRAM, ANY PLATFORM AND SYSTEMS USED BY ADMINISTRATORS TO PROCESS DATA OR OTHER INFORMATION RELATING TO THE PROGRAM ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF TITLE, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU ASSUME SOLE RESPONSIBILITY AND RISK FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE PROGRAM AND THE RESULTS AND PERFORMANCE THEREOF. NOT WITHSTANDING ANYTHING TO THE CONTRARY CONTAINED HEREIN, THE ADMINISTRATORS' CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM ANY CAUSE WHATSOEVER, AND REGARDLESS OF THE FORM OF THE ACTION, WILL AT ALL TIMES BE LIMITED TO THE PROVISION OF POINTS THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF THE DISPUTE, AS WE MAY DETERMINE AT OUR ABSOLUTION DISCRETION.
AEO HK reserves the right to amend or modify or terminate the Program at any time, it in its sole discretion. AEO HK suspects fraud, including any misuse or violation of these Terms, AEO HK has the right to take the appropriate administrative or legal action, including the cancellation of accumulated points and termination of current and future Program participation. If your participation in the Program is canceled (either by you or by AEO HK) you will forfeit any existing points.
The interpretation of these Terms and any matters not provided herein shall be at the Company's sole discretion, and the Company's decisions shall be final and binding on you. Reference should be made to the English version for terms used in the English language and may be translated into Chinese. If there is any inconsistency between the English version and the translated Chinese version, the English version shall prevail.

Hong Kong Membership Program Privacy Notice

The American Eagle Hong Kong membership program is operated and managed by American Eagle Outfitters Hong Kong Limited ("AEO HK"). This Privacy Notice (this "Notice") explains how data about you is collected, used and disclosed by AEO HK and our affiliates (collectively, "we", "us", or "our").
This Notice applies to any personal data that you provide to us or which we collect when you submit your customer registration with us, shop in our stores, engage with us via social media, or when you otherwise interact with us ("Personal Data"). The fields marked with asterisks on the membership registration page is mandatory for completing the customer registration.
Please read this Notice completely (before providing us with your Personal Data or otherwise interacting with us or a third party that refers to this Notice in its privacy policy) to understand how we collect, use and disclose your Personal Data. We may supply different or additional information on how we process Personal Data specific to certain programs or activities. We may also provide different notices on how we process Personal Data with respect to certain affiliates, in which case this Notice will not apply.

1. COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
We may collect Personal Data when you interact with us or any of our brands, such as when you:
- Submit the customer registration form
- Purchase, return, reserve or try-on merchandise
- Consent to receive our promotional email, SMS/text messages, or other communications
- Information from your emails, texts, chats, video calls and voice calls with our sales associates
- Visit our stores
- Participate in our contests, sweepstakes or promotions
- Participate in one of our surveys or other customer research
- Contact or visit our Customer Service Department; or otherwise contact us or one of our service providers with a comment, question or complaint
In addition, we may collect and receive Personal Data about you from third parties, including our vendors and service providers. For instance, we may engage vendors and work with other partners to provide services to us or to you on our behalf (such as payment processors, cloud hosting and service providers).
When we collect your Personal Data we will indicate whether it is optional or mandatory for you to provide specific types of Personal Data. The collection of some Personal Data is mandatory for the purposes described in this Notice. If you do not provide us with such mandatory Personal Data, we may not be able to administer and manage our relationship with you (such as communicate with you, or perform our contract with you), which in some cases may mean we are unable to continue with your engagement with us if applicable, or we may be prevented from complying with our legal obligations.
2. PURPOSES AND LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA
While the purposes for which we may process Personal Data will vary depending upon the circumstances, in general, we use Personal Data for the broad purposes set forth in this section.
In this section, we also explain the purposes for which we collect and process your personal information, as well at the legal bases upon which we process Personal Data, as required by the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486 of the laws of Hong Kong "PDPO").
a) Legal bases of processing under certain privacy law: Pursuant to the PDPO, in general, we process your Personal Data on the following legal bases:
- Performance of our contract with you: The Personal Data we collect may be used to perform our agreements with you, including the Terms and Conditions of our membership program.
- To comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject: The Personal Data we collect may be processed in order to comply with the law and our legal obligations.
- For our legitimate business interests: We may process Personal Data in furtherance of our legitimate business interests in protecting, maintaining and improving our services; developing new features and services; marketing and promoting our products; protecting our legal rights and interests; in support of mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations and other business transactions; and to generally operate and improve our business.
- With your consent: We may process Personal Data about you based on your consent, for example to send you marketing communications, surveys, news, updates and other communications. Where required by applicable law, we will obtain your consent to this Notice and our collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Data. You may be able to withdraw your consent at any time in accordance with applicable laws; please see Section 4, Your Rights and Choices below for information on how to withdraw your consent.
b) How we collect, use and process Personal Data: Below we describe how we may collect for and what purposes we use Personal Data, including, where applicable, Personal Data we receive from third parties.
i. Customer registration: When you register for our membership program in one of our stores, we collect and use the Personal Data you provide, such as your name, birthday, email address and mobile phone number, for the purposes of registering your membership, managing and enabling you to enjoy our members' privileges.
ii. Purchasing, returning, reserving or trying-on merchandise: When you purchase or return merchandise through one of our stores, we collect and use the Personal Data that you provide, such as your order, postal address, email address, mobile phone number, birth date and payment information, for the purposes of processing your transaction, informing your purchase, and updating you on the status of your order/return. Additionally, we may share your Personal Data with vendors that manage our credit card or analyze data, or advertisers and "powered by" partners who power product reviews on our products or services. We may also share your Personal Data with other third parties, including our affiliates, that we work with to send marketing, conduct advertising campaigns, and provide other promotional assistance.
iii. Promotion/marketing: We intend to send promotional/marketing communications and other information about our products (including the "American Eagle", "Aerie" and other brands distributed by us), services, news, offers, promotions and events (e.g. contests, sweepstakes and surveys) to you. Where required by applicable law, we will ask you for consent before we send you direct marketing communications for these purposes, and we obtain your consent to send you direct marketing communications (please see Section 3 below). You may unsubscribe from these communications by following the instructions in the message. If you have any questions about unsubscribing from marketing or would like to update your communication preferences, please contact us as outlined below.
iv. Sweepstakes/contests/promotions: We process the Personal Data that you provide if you choose to participate in one of our contests, sweepstakes or promotions for the purposes of conducting them and communicating with you, all as further described in the respective terms and conditions. Where applicable, the processing of your Personal Data for these purposes is as necessary for the performance of a contract with us.
v. Photo/video: If you consent, we may also process your photo and/or video recorded at any relating event where you participate. The processing of your Personal Data for this purpose is based on your consent.
vi. Customer surveys and other customer research: If you consent, we process the Personal Data that you provide if you choose to participate in one of our customer surveys or other research tools to analyze and better understand how customers like you interact with our brands. Where applicable, the processing of your Personal Data for this purpose is based on your consent.
vii. Customer Service: We process the Personal Data you provide to us when you contact our Customer Service Department (name, email address, telephone number, email address, purchase details) for the purposes of receiving any issues you raise and responding to you. Depending on the nature of your enquiry, this may include processing details of the nature of the enquiry, payment details (but not full banking details). We may record the audio information in customer service telephone calls, and may save and store written customer service interactions such as chat and email, for quality and training purposes and to meet our legal obligations.
viii. Securing our business and complying with legal obligations: We may process Personal Data to ensure and protect our business, defend our legal rights, and comply with legal obligations. In addition, we may process Personal Data for our internal auditing, reporting, corporate governance, and other internal purposes.
ix. Managing our relationships with others: We also process the above mentioned Personal Data to manage our relationship with vendors and third parties who assist us in providing our services or goods; for example, to ensure the proper performance of their tasks, to evaluate our work with them, and to ensure the smooth transition between different service providers.
3. DISCLOSURES AND SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA / USE AND PROVISION OF PERSONAL DATA IN DIRECT MARKETING
Except as described in this Notice, we will not share your Personal Data with third party users (i.e. third parties that use the Personal Data for their own purposes). We may, however, share aggregated, non-personal or anonymous data, which cannot be used to identify you, with third parties. We may also share your Personal Data in the following circumstances:
Third Parties Providing Services: We may share your Personal Data with vendors that perform functions on our behalf or assist with our business operations to perform contracts with you, such as those that host or operate our platform, process transactions and payments, fulfill orders or provide customer service; or other third parties that provide internal promotional assistance, and analyze our data. Additionally, we may share your Personal Data with vendors that manage our credit card or analyze data, or advertisers and "powered by" partners who power product reviews on our products or services. We may also share your Personal Data with other third parties, including our affiliates, that we work with to send marketing, conduct advertising campaigns, and provide other promotional assistance. These third parties may assist us in marketing and advertising our products, services, news, offers, promotions and events (e.g. contests, sweepstakes and surveys) which we think may be of interest to you, via mail and via email and other electronic means.
Affiliates: Your Personal Data may be processed by our affiliates, as well as for analytics, research and demographic studies, development, and to help us improve and tailor our services. Our affiliates are subject to this Notice when they use your Personal Data. We are responsible for managing the Personal Data that may be shared with our affiliates. In agreeing to this Notice, you consent to the transfer of your Personal Data outside of Hong Kong.
Compliance with Legal Obligations: We may also disclose your Personal Data if we believe we are required to do so by law, or that doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with legal processes; when we believe it is necessary or appropriate to disclose Personal Data to law enforcement or other governmental or regulatory authorities or the courts (in any relevant jurisdiction worldwide), such as to investigate actual or suspected fraud or violations of law, breaches of security, or breaches of this Notice; to regularly exercise our rights in judicial, administrative or arbitration proceedings (as applicable in Brazil); to respond to any claims against us; and, to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of us, our customers, or the public.
Corporate Transactions: In addition, your Personal Data may be disclosed as part of any proposed or actual merger, sale, and transfer of AEO HK's business or acquisition of other companies.
We intend to use your name, contact details and products purchase records held by us for direct marketing: b) conduct direct marketing in relation to the following classes of products that we and our affiliates may offer: apparel, intimates, activewear, accessories, footwear, and personal care products. The foregoing products may be our brands or brands distributed by us under licensing arrangements. Direct marketing messages and emails will be sent out by us using the @pacifica.com.hk domain name, through AEO HK Whatsapp business account and other communication channels.
4. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
This section describes the choices and rights you have with respect to your Personal Data and how to exercise them.
a) Opt-out of marketing communications: You may opt-out of marketing emails by: (i) contacting us by email or postal mail as set forth below in Section 7, Contact Us; or (ii) following the removal instructions in the communication that you received. If you opt out of direct marketing communications, we may still send you non-commercial communications, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations. For example, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance, or your payment could not be processed, we might send you an email.
b) Withdraw your consent: In all cases where we process your Personal Data based on your consent, you may withdraw consent for each individual purpose at any time without reason. Please contact us by email at the email address set forth below in Section 7, Contact Us. Please keep in mind that certain services will not be available if you withdraw your consent, or otherwise delete or object to our processing of certain Personal Data.
c) Review and correct your Personal Data: Subject to the conditions set out in the PDPO, you have the right to request access to and correction of the Personal Data held by us. You may contact us by email at the email address as set forth below, in Section 7, Contact Us.
Submitting Requests: Privacy requests should be directed to our privacy team as set forth below in Section 7, Contact Us. We will respond to your request, and inform you if we do not intend to comply with your request. We also may ask you for additional information so that we can confirm your identity or verify your request.
5. SECURITY AND RETENTION

American Eagle Hong Kong Membership Program Return Policy (Store Exclusive)
If you're not completely happy with a purchase, it can be exchanged or returned for a full refund within 14 days of the date of purchase. For transactions with any loyalty benefits used, no refund would be accepted, customers can choose to exchange products at our stores only. No returns will be accepted after 14 days.
Merchandise must be returned in the region where purchased, with your original proof of purchase. If you don't have proof of purchase, you can exchange your item(s) for a different size.
Returned items must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, with all labels and tags attached and hygienic liners in place for swimsuits. For sanitary reasons, all undies are not eligible for exchange and return.
Bulk buys are non-refundable
If there appears to be fraud or abuse, we may not accept your return.
